HYROX
What Is HYROX?
The HYROX format is a hybrid fitness race that consists of eight 1-kilometer (km) runs,each followed by a functional exercise station.
This sequence is repeated eight times, meaning participants complete a total of 8 km of running and eight different workouts.
The exercise stations include activities like the SkiErg, sled push, sled pull, burpee broad jumps, rowing,kettlebell farmer’s carry, sandbag lunges, and wall balls
The format:
Each race begins with a 1 km run, followed by one of eight specific functional exercise stations.
This cycle repeats eight times.
The exercise stations:
The sequence of workouts is the same for all races and includes:
- 1 km run, then 1,000m SkiErg
- 1 km run, then 50m Sled Push
- 1 km run, then 50m Sled Pull
- 1 km run, then 80m Burpee Broad Jumps
- 1 km run, then 1,000m Rowing
- 1 km run, then 200m Kettlebell Farmer's Carry
- 1 km run, then 100m Sandbag Lunges
- 1 km run, then 100 Wall Balls
Race categories:
HYROX offers different competition categories, including singles, doubles (men’s, women’s, and mixed), and relays.
Race environment:
Races are typically held indoors in large exhibition halls, creating a stadium-like atmosphere
